**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team working in Children and Teenage Cancer Services.

You will work as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist communication and dysphagia services to children and teenagers with cancer, including those undergoing radiotherapy and Proton Beam Therapy.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of innovative practice, delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide SLT expertise across the child and teenage age range, including in-patient and out-patient settings.
  • Deliver SLT care to patients with diverse presentations and complex physical, psychological, and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-professional teams to facilitate effective patient management.
  • Liaise with various agencies, including social services, schools, and health teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and HCPC license to practice.
  • Significant clinical experience working in a relevant specialist field.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Detailed knowledge of local and national clinical guidelines.

Salary:** £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
