About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for adults with complex needs. This is a varied role, ideal for those seeking a new challenge, where you can shape services and drive change.
The post is located in Middleton Fells, Kirkby Lonsdale, with travel to other residential settings in South Cumbria. You will join a well-established clinical team, working collaboratively with Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and an Assistant Psychologist. The clinical work closely with the wider care team, enabling positive and effective multi-disciplinary working to maximize clinical outcomes.
The successful candidate will work within the framework of the service policies and procedures, supporting the development of empowering environments where adults can flourish. Our teams maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and the adults we support are at the forefront of decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for adults with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and an Assistant Psychologist
- Develop and implement clinical plans, working closely with the wider care team
- Support the development of empowering environments, promoting positive outcomes for adults
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality assurance and service development
Requirements
- Post-graduate doctoral level qualification in Psychology (clinical, counselling, forensic)
- Registered with the HCPC and BPS
- Experience in supervising Assistant Psychologists
- Experience of working with adults with complex needs, including intellectual disability and/or autism, and additional needs
- Ability to work collaboratively and sensitively with adults and resolve conflict effectively
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
- Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults
