Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in South Bedfordshire, providing senior clinical and strategic input into our Adult Community Mental Health Services network. As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will work closely with team managers and senior clinicians to ensure the systematic provision of high-quality comprehensive specialist psychological services to our service users.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing senior clinical and strategic input into the Adult Community Mental Health Services network
  • Working closely with team managers and senior clinicians to ensure the provision of high-quality comprehensive specialist psychological services
  • Providing supervision and leadership to a dedicated group of psychologists and therapists
  • Developing and implementing service development projects to improve mental health services
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society
  • Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex multivariate data analysis
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, including substantial post-qualification experience within the speciality
  • Experience of working with teams and team leads to provide specialist psychological consultation, advice, and support
