Overview

The Compleat Food Group is a leading food manufacturing company that values innovation, quality, and teamwork. As an Academic Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the Production Manager in achieving effective running of the production process on high-speed line area.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Job Description

This role involves managing smooth delivery of the production plan on time along with correct product quality and focus on labour variance. You will also ensure Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) information is gathered, and continuous improvement plans are in place and actioned.

You will work closely with the team to ensure availability of materials for production preventing any shortages and downtime. Additionally, you will be involved in NPD product trials and samples.

Your duties will include ensuring a safe working environment through the delivery of key enabling activities such as near misses, safety observations, and timely completion of investigation actions.

You will also monitor product quality and report any non-conforming ingredients. Moreover, you will maintain to agreed GMP standards and action any non-conformances.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need experience of working in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment. You must have strong knowledge of H&S, Food Safety, BRC standards, and PPE requirements.

A Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification is desirable. You should also have strong literacy and numeracy skills.
