Job Description

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations managers and ensuring the smooth delivery of our waste management services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a Team
    • Directing and managing a team of operations managers to ensure the successful delivery of our waste management services
    • Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Operational Planning and Delivery
    • Developing and implementing operational plans to achieve business objectives and improve service quality
    • Ensuring the effective management of resources, including people, equipment, and supplies
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensuring the health and safety of employees, customers, and the general public by maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to relevant legislation and regulations
    • Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to waste management

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Leadership Abilities
    • Demonstrated experience of leading teams and managing complex operations
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Operations Management Experience
    • Substantial experience in waste management or a related industry, with a proven track record of delivering results-oriented solutions
    • Familiarity with industry-specific legislation and regulations
  • Education and Qualifications
    • A degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, business administration, or a related discipline
    • Professional certifications, such as a chartered manager or a certified professional in logistics and transportation
