Job Title: Pipefitter

Location: Glasgow - Govan and Scotstoun

Salary: £37,318 (shift allowance of 33% may be applicable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials. You will also be using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder, and weld pipes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials
  • Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder, and weld pipes
  • Installing utilities aboard ship, including sinks, showers, and toilets

Requirements:

  • Trade papers, such as formal Modern apprenticeship
  • Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
  • Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
  • Safety certification, such as SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height, etc.
  • Background in a major construction/manufacturing environment
