Linux Firmware Integration Specialist

X4 Technology is seeking a skilled Linux Firmware Integration Specialist to support a Cambridge-based audio client with a high hourly rate pay. This 12-month OUTSIDE IR35 contract opportunity involves board bring-up, Linux driver development, and application-level development.
Key Responsibilities:- Board bring-up and Linux driver development for I2C, TCP, and network drivers
- Understanding of application-level development and subsystem development
- ARM SOC expertise, preferably with RockChip and 32 88/35 88
- Familiarity with U-boot, Bootloader, Yocto, or bootflow is a plus
The client is a market leader in innovative music tech, and no previous audio experience is required. However, an interest in this area is beneficial. The position involves 1-2 days per week on-site in the Cambridge office, with flexibility depending on the project phase. The QDOS assessment has confirmed the position as OUTSIDE IR35, offering a high hourly rate and long-term duration.
