Job Title: Cover Manager

Step Teachers is seeking a highly organized and communicative Cover Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our schools on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate cover for absent teachers, ensuring all classes are effectively supervised and supported.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure cover arrangements are clear, efficient, and aligned with school policies.
  • Source high-quality cover teachers through established relationships with external supply agencies.
  • Assist in the maintenance and adjustment of timetables to accommodate changes in staffing and school needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the school's leadership team, including data management and reporting.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting, preferably with a recruitment agency.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships with teachers, support staff, and school leaders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with school management software and data systems is an advantage.
