As a Lead File Handler at Keoghs LLP, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of mixed disease claims, including meso, asbestos, NIHL, and HAVS cases. You will work closely with an assistant file handler, providing supervision and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.

Key accountabilities include devising a clear strategy, drafting reports, dealing with disclosure, reviewing evidence, conducting investigations, instructing counsel, and attending conferences and trials.

You will also be responsible for providing initial reports and further reports/advice to clients, liaising with claims handlers and managers, and complying with client instructions.

Additionally, you will assist the team in achieving goals and objectives, meeting agreed targets, and ensuring compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations and Keoghs Values.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be technically proficient in dealing with disease cases, have effective negotiation skills, and be able to use your own initiative.

You will also need to be flexible in relation to tasks undertaken, have good listening and verbal communication skills, and be able to maintain concentration and pay attention to detail.

Self-organisation and self-prioritisation skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and to target.

A good level of IT skills is also required.

The working hours for this role are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with one unpaid hour for lunch.

The primary location for this role is Parklands, Bolton Office.
