The Emerald Group is seeking a talented Senior Actuarial Specialist to lead our non-life reserving efforts. As part of our Reserving and Reinsurance team, you will collaborate with colleagues from various departments to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze and review reserving data to ensure accuracy and reliability
  2. Develop and execute projects to improve pricing and reserving practices
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on reserving matters
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
  5. Maintain expertise in reserving software and technologies
  6. Present findings and recommendations to senior management
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., actuarial science, statistics, mathematics)
  2. Proven track record in actuarial or statistical roles, preferably in Reserving
  3. Familiarity with UK motor insurance market an asset
  4. Excellent understanding of general insurance principles and concepts
  5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel
  6. Programming skills in SAS, R, or Python a plus
  7. Familiarity with reserving support software (e.g., ResQ, InsurSight) desirable

Annual salary estimate £60,000 - £90,000 based on qualifications and experience.
