We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our busy and expanding Natural Resources and New Energies team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile projects/programs.

Job Description

This role provides the opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and learn from our experienced and award-winning Planning & Scheduling community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.

Responsibilities
  • Tailor planning approaches to meet client needs in line with best practice.
  • Lead members of the planning team to develop and maintain plans on highly complex, high-risk projects or programs.
  • Work with project teams to define scope of work, develop, and update detailed schedules, cost information, and identify variances from original plans.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identifying developing problem areas.
  • Lead analysis to understand alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
  • Develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Train and coach clients and less experienced team members on planning processes and practices.
Requirements
  • Ability to interact with management/leadership members when delivering updates on planning progress within complex project/program environments.
  • Act as subject matter expert, delivering planning processes on complex projects/programs along with associated processes & reports.
  • Guide teams on appropriate use of systems and tools in relation to Planning & Scheduling.
  • Hold a UK driving license or ability to travel to client sites across the region, as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience using standard scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.) is essential; willingness to attend Primavera P6 training as required.
  • Demonstrable experience of Cemar Contract Management tool or equivalent is desirable.

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum
