About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Property Solicitor to join our dynamic team at Themis Recruit. As a key member of our Private Client department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional legal counsel to our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients while autonomously handling a caseload of rural property transactions, including sales and purchases, farm and land refinancing, and agricultural holdings.
  • Ensure meticulous maintenance of case files, prioritizing confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Engage in a wide range of matters, including easements over land, farm business tenancies, and agricultural holdings act tenancies.
  • Actively participate in business development efforts to expand your network of referrals and contribute to enhancing your own, the team's, and the firm's reputation.
  • Collaborate with the team's rural property partner on various rural property affairs.
Requirements
  • A proven background in property transactions, specifically in the sale and purchase of rural and agricultural property.
  • Independence as a qualified solicitor or experienced fee earner with a solid grasp of agricultural/rural property law.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage client demands and caseloads while handling non-casework responsibilities.
  • Strict adherence to file and case management policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Precise recording of billable and non-billable time.
  • Team-oriented mindset, promoting collaboration with fellow fee earners and support staff.
  • A track record of delivering top-tier legal advice and achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in independent caseload management, with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues when needed.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the relevant practice area, staying current with legislation and case law.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and addressing learning needs.
  • Active engagement with supervision processes.
  • Strong proficiency in IT systems.
  • An eagerness to contribute to business development efforts and cultivate a network of referrals.
