About the Job

This SEN & PRU Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and behavioral challenges. The successful candidate will work in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting, providing one-to-one and small group support to Key Stage 3-4 students.

Job Description

  1. Support students with tailored learning activities to enhance their engagement and motivation
  2. Implement and monitor individualized learning and behavioral plans to promote student progress
  3. Develop positive relationships with students, focusing on social and emotional development
  4. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to maintain a supportive learning environment

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a PRU or similar SEN environment is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning needs and behaviors
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own car (essential for consideration)
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days per week)

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will also receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities.
