As a Research Assistant Professional at Wales Medicines Strategy Group, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of mental health research initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality research projects that aim to improve healthcare services across Greater Manchester.

About the Role:
  • This is a 24-month fixed-term contract as a Research Assistant in NHS AfC: Band 5, working part-time (15 hours per week).
  • You will be responsible for enrolling participants, consenting, collecting data, and liaising with the University and Chief Investigator.
Main Duties:
  1. Ensure that research procedures are carried out according to the approved protocol and UK policy framework for health and social care research.
  2. Provide complex research-related information to research participants when taking informed consent or carrying out a research procedure.
  3. Liaise with the Chief Investigator, Site Lead, and Project Manager regarding ongoing support and feasibility of the project.
  4. Actively promote research study opportunities to staff and services.

Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, statistics).
  • Previous research experience.
  • Good understanding of research governance and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:

The salary for this role is £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, depending on experience.
