Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to report directly to the Engineering Manager on site. The successful candidate will be accountable for the completion of work, ensuring quality and timely delivery. They will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects, including day-to-day breakdowns, PPMs, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure that the company's vision, values, and policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Support the engineering team with hands-on experience to mentor team members, ensuring that PPMs, SSOWs, and working procedures are followed.
- To ensure that the company's vision, values, and policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Support the Engineering Manager/team to ensure compliance with regulations for fire and alarm systems, PAT, pressure valves, etc., analysing the results and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.
- Support the Engineering Manager to ensure risk assessments/COSSH/RIDDOR, etc. are implemented and undertaken, and accident prevention measures are initiated as required.
- Support the Engineering Manager with the planning, organising, and coordinating resources to meet production requirements of ongoing maintenance and unplanned issues.
- Support the Engineering Manager to plan and direct operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment as per production requirements.
- Work with approved suppliers to obtain parts and machinery.
- Support the Engineering Manager to deliver training to engineers and operators on new machinery, using the machinery documentation and SSOWs.

Experience
- Proven experience of industrial maintenance or production.
- Operational maintenance experience (hands on) would be preferred.
- 2 years Team leader experience or CMI level 3 (desirable)
- Educated in a relevant engineering field.
- NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
- Experience in applying and implementing LEAN manufacturing systems (desirable).
