Job Title: Band 5 Clinical Photographer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Photographer to join our team at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. As a Clinical Photographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality photographic and video support to our staff and patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a comprehensive photography and video service to the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of clinical photographers to deliver a fast and high-quality clinical and non-clinical service.
  • Develop and maintain a good range of clinical photography skills, including studio and location-based photography.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in clinical photography and medical illustration.
Requirements:
  • Degree in photography or related media subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Voluntary registration as a Medical Illustrator with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
  • Excellent digital photography skills and patient management skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy, particularly with digital imaging software.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Photography/Medical Illustration.
  • Experience in coaching and training junior Clinical Photographers.
  • Video and audio capture and/or production skills.
Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
