Food Technical Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Technical Operations Assistant to join our team at Scout Recruiting LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our food operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food technical queries from clients and the sales team
  • Create and manage product specifications using manufacturer information
  • Check client food labeling for compliance against the General Food Regulations 2004 and approve artwork for printing
  • Administer and own all client portals for allergens and nutritional information
  • Manage the ongoing amendments of the allergen and product information matrix
  • Assist with tasks involving BRC food safety
  • Assist with maintaining and administering the NPD process and checklist for supplier approval
  • Assist with factory hygiene inspections and preparation for third-party and customer audits
  • Support and assist with other operational duties as required
Key Skills:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good time management
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software, specifically Excel
  • Self-motivated
  • Positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Tenacious
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)

This is a part-time role, working 3 days or 20 hours a week, split over Monday to Friday. The starting salary for this role is £35K pro rata.
