About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our team in the Dermatology Outpatient Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the smooth running of Dermatology clinics, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist with Minor Skin surgery in Theatres, demonstrating a high level of clinical competence and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Nurse-led clinics, including Phototherapy, Drug monitoring, Dressing, and Skin biopsies, providing expert care and guidance to patients.
  • Engage in Health Promotion activities, promoting healthy behaviors and empowering patients to take control of their skin health.
  • Support Junior Staff and Healthcare Assistants, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Person Specification
  • Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to maintaining NMC registration.
Desirable
  • Dermatology experience, with a strong understanding of skin health and disease management.
  • Ability to work a varied shift pattern, including nights and weekends, as required.
