Insurance & Risk Manager (Permanent)

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Insurance Manager to join our Audit, Risk & Compliance team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver great service to our customers while protecting the environment.
About the RoleThe Risk and Insurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and promotion of our risk and controls framework, assurance policy, and corporate risk management processes across the business. This includes our risk appetite, risk reporting processes, and escalation, as well as overseeing the network of risk champions to ensure engagement across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the risk and insurance team.
- Support the Head of Audit, Risk and Compliance in delivering team objectives and strategy.
- Represent risk at Kelda and YW Board, the Audit and Risk Committee, the Executive and senior leadership teams.
- Lead the development and delivery of risk management training throughout Kelda Group and Yorkshire Water.
- Work with external experts and networks to continually improve risk management and insurance in Kelda and Yorkshire Water.
- Ensure the risk and insurance process supports the YW 10-year strategy and informs business planning.
We are looking for a highly experienced Risk and Insurance Manager with a strong background in risk management and insurance. You will have extensive knowledge of risk management methodologies and a good understanding of how enterprise risk management systems are deployed. You will also have the ability to develop, maintain, and leverage value from an extensive internal and external network.
