Chef Coordinator

About the Role

As a Cook in the Regeneration and Community Services Directorate of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, you will play a key role in ensuring that students at Georgetown Primary School receive nutritious and safe meals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals, as well as maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. They will also be required to monitor and record protocols, manage sickness and food safety management systems, and comply with health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in catering, with experience working in a similar environment. You should also hold relevant qualifications, such as a City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ Level 1/2 in Catering and a Food Safety Level 3 Certificate.

Working Environment:

You will be based in the Regeneration and Community Services Directorate, working closely with other teams to deliver high-quality services to the community.

Salary:

The salary for this role is estimated at around £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
