Telephone Business Development Manager Role Summary

The Buckinghamshire Building Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Sales Team Member to fill the position of Telephone Business Development Manager. This dynamic role is a key part of our Mortgage Sales Team and will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to drive business growth and meet our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for brokers on all new mortgage enquiries, including Decisions in Principle (DIP) for the Society.
  • Meet established targets to expand the mortgage portfolio, aligning with the Society's strategic goals.
  • Attend in-person and virtual events to support the Mortgage Sales team and promote the Society's offering to the broker community.
  • Collaborate with the Mortgage Administration and Underwriting teams to ensure mortgages are processed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Contribute ideas for marketing our offering to the broker community and assist the Key Account and Business Development Manager team with ongoing broker relationships.

Requirements

  • Previous experience gained within a mortgages department and in dealing with brokers is essential.
  • CeMAP qualification – levels 1, 2 and 3 is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task, manage and prioritise own workloads are required.
  • Good knowledge of MCOB, MCD and general regulatory requirements is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels are necessary.
  • The ability to assimilate information and make timely accurate decisions is critical.
