Costa Coffee Barista Maestro Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Barista Maestro to lead our retail team at Costa Coffee in Whitstable, Kent.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Store Manager to take on leadership responsibility, accountability, and autonomy. As a Barista Maestro, you will be involved in day-to-day operations, stock maintenance, health & safety, store marketing, and other activities that drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Taking the lead on shifts to support colleagues in delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Making the most of people's talents to maximize sales
  • Training and accrediting new Baristas
  • Familiarizing yourself with new recipes and ranges, and sharing knowledge with the team
  • Driving high standards every time, whether it's through espresso quality or monthly coffee excellence scores
Requirements

To succeed as a Barista Maestro, you must have:

  • A passion for coffee and people
  • Reliability to open and close the store safely and on time
  • Team leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to take on shared responsibility
  • A love of turning knowledge into action to help your store succeed

Please note that this role offers an estimated salary of £12.33-£13.33 per hour, rising with training to £12.83-£13.83 (dependent on store location).
