Information Security Manager

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to join our team at Bicycle Therapeutics. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage our Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with the ISO 27001:2022 specification.
- Lead the activities associated with our ISO certification, including coordinating evidence to support the certification.
- Work with multiple teams to assess information security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Support the development of IT and IS policies required by the organization.
- Manage security training and awareness programs to promote a culture of cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with the Data Privacy Counsel and Legal team to provide technical support and advice on data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity matters.
- Assist with maintaining and implementing data protection policies and other data privacy internal materials.
- Ensure the secure handling, sharing, and storage of proprietary information across the company and third-party vendors.
- Assist with developing the Business Continuity Plan.
- Liaise with quality, compliance, and regulatory teams to guide and implement their requirements and align with our IS strategy.
- Act as the primary internal contact for all information security compliance matters.
- Interact with data privacy regulators as required.
- Supervise external supporting consultants as needed.
- Manage the third-party/supplier lifecycle from an information management perspective.
- Educated in a relevant subject or demonstrated relevant experience and a proven track record.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting ISO 27001 certification via independent auditors.
- Awareness of SOX controls and alignment between them and ISO.
- Experience deploying and managing information security management systems and information risk registers.
- Experience advising on information security, data privacy, and data handling issues, including commercial contracts.
- Experience dealing with and advising a wide range of business stakeholders in determining requirements and priorities, as well as resolving issues.
- Analyzing third-party risk management, including assessing the supply chain and managing risks.
- Good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an international team across different time zones.
- Able to prioritize and manage a high volume of work.
- Ability to work across functions, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience responding to data incidents/breaches, either directly or through tabletop exercises.
- Ability to proactively identify issues, think strategically, propose, and implement practical solutions.
- Willing to take on new challenges.
