Job Summary

As a Ranger with The National Trust, you will play a crucial role in protecting and preserving the nation's beloved countryside and coast. You will be responsible for ensuring the protection and care of our woodland and estate, including habitats, wildlife, property, and machinery. Your enthusiasm will inspire others to love this beautiful place as much as you do.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the protection and care of our woodland and estate
• Developing the wider estate back to its importance as a wildlife conservation area and greenspace
• Instilling the importance of conservation in the community and working to encourage people to use this beautiful asset for the right reasons
• Delivering outstanding outdoors experiences and excellent conservation work as an individual and within the wider ranger team

Requirements

• Practically experienced in conservation work, to protect and improve habitats and landscapes
• Happy to talk to all kinds of people about the work you're doing, and why it matters
• Hard-working and willing to learn
• Able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines
• Experienced in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors
• Able to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
• A driver with a full UK driving licence
