    • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support key business decisions and growth initiatives.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Founder and other SLT members on all financial matters.
    • Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting across all entities.

  • Financial Operations & Controls

    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the UK entity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and treasury functions.
    • Coordinate with local accountants in Germany and South Africa to ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining oversight of their work.
    • Implement, maintain, and improve financial controls and reporting structures across all entities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accountability.
    • Ensure consolidated financial reports are produced on time, integrating local accountants' work from Germany and South Africa.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports to the Founder and SLT.
    • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to monitor performance, analyze variances, and track KPIs.
    • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the different entities.
    • Analyze and report on key financial drivers, business risks, and opportunities for revenue and cost optimization.

  • Team Leadership & Development

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, with responsibility for financial operations in the UK and oversight of local accounting teams in Germany and South Africa.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration within the finance function.
    • Identify opportunities to scale the finance function as the company grows, implementing automation and process improvements where possible.

  • Business Partnering & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Group leads to provide financial guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
    • Work with external advisors to manage risks such as currency fluctuations, taxation, and market entry challenges.

  • International Financial Management

    • Proven experience managing international financial operations, preferably across Europe and Africa.
    • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is preferred.
    • Strong proficiency in financial software Xero, and advanced skills in Excel or other financial modelling tools.
    • Deep understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards, with experience navigating multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations.
