About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a CBRN Training Specialist. As a Police Constable with a CBRN responder background, you will contribute to the development of training materials and programs to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, evaluate, and quality assure training materials to encourage individual learning.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain and develop the multi-agency capability to respond to CBRN terrorism.
  • Develop and deliver cost-effective training programs in support of the CBRN strategy.
  • Maintain and develop a high level of subject knowledge, both in training and operationally.
  • Build and develop relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Participate in the on-call Operations Centre Cadre.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 training qualification or equivalent.
  • CBRN responder background or alternate CBRN experience.
  • Hold a UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • A1 or equivalent assessor award.
  • Experience of design, development, delivery, or management of emergency service training programs.
  • Experience of multi-agency working.
  • Understanding and/or awareness of current operational multi-agency CBRN issues.
Additional Information

This position is offered as a 2-year secondment to West Midlands Police as host to NCBRNC and attracts Central Service Allowance (CSA). You may be required to work occasional unsocial hours, including weekend working, and be expected to visit various locations across the UK with overnight stays. International travel may also be required.
