Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our well-established and thriving Nursery in Hengrove, Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting high standards of quality within the nursery, ensuring the health and safety of children, their parents and carers, and maintaining a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursery team, ensuring that all staff are equipped to deliver high-quality care and education to children.
  • Quality and Standards: Promote and maintain high standards of quality within the nursery, ensuring that all aspects of care and education meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the nursery remains compliant with all health and safety policies and procedures, and that all staff receive regular health and safety training.
  • Staff Development: Support the development of staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and qualifications to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the nursery's activities.
  • Administrative and Financial Management: Maintain accurate records and accounts for the nursery, and produce management information as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Qualification or above in childcare, and a strong understanding of the developmental needs of children.
  • Experience: Previous managerial experience within an early year's setting, and a strong understanding of safeguarding good practice.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
