Production Planner Job Description

The Whittan Group is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating production workflow, managing MRP messages, and planning operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products and assets.
  • Manage MRP messages in line with the SAP MRP system.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Assign workers and other staff to production operations.
  • Schedule shifts according to production needs.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within labor KPI.
  • Address issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives).
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  • Help with reallocations of customer returns/cancelled orders.
  • Manage/review safety stock levels.
  • Manage lead time requests from sales channels.
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • SAP experience.
