Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to join our Music Region Flex team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our music streaming services, working closely with our engineering teams to resolve technical issues and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the onboarding process for technical and operational tasks from the Engineering team to the Support team.
  2. Provide infrastructure support for incoming system issues, including extensive troubleshooting and covering multiple products, features, and services.
  3. Work on operations and maintenance-driven coding projects, primarily in Java, Perl, or shell scripts, and AWS technologies.
  4. Support software deployment in staging and production environments.
  5. Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.
  6. Report system and support status.
  7. Own two or more digital products or components.
  8. Coordinate customer notifications and workflows to maintain service level agreements.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of software development or 2+ years of technical support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Experience in Unix.
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
  • B.E. or B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge in Java programming.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
  • Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID.
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON.
