We are seeking a skilled interpreter to join our network of freelance linguists. As a Language Empire interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work with various clients across the UK, including the NHS, Local Authorities, and Police.

As a self-employed interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality interpreting services, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting. You will also have the opportunity to work as a translator, converting written content from one language to another.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent language skills, both written and spoken. You will also need to be comfortable working in a variety of settings and be able to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

We offer a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to choose when and how much you work. You will also have access to our dedicated in-house team, who will provide ongoing support and training to help you develop your skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality interpreting services to clients across the UK
  • Working as a translator, converting written content from one language to another
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Able to work in a variety of settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, and Police
  • Comfortable working in a self-employed capacity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
