Airfreight Operations Specialist Position Overview

Bennett And Game Recruitment is working alongside a global logistics company who provides a wide range of services including dangerous goods transportation, packaging, packing, documentation, consultancy, incident control, and training. They have offices across the world and are seeking an Airfreight Operations Specialist to join their Hounslow offices.

They are actively seeking an airfreight operations specialist who strives to deliver high-quality outcomes and is looking for a new opportunity to grow within the company. Their operations staff control shipments from door to door during import and export air freight procedures. They need operations staff who are positive, motivated, and want to be part of a specialized team of Dangerous Goods Airfreight Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage agents and customers directly.
  2. Liaise with customers for every aspect of their shipment.
  3. Find solutions by air, road, and sea for highly regulated shipments.
  4. Make export airline bookings with airlines.
  5. Track shipments and provide updates.
  6. Process customer invoices and creditor invoices in a timely manner.
  7. Collect and deliver freight.
  8. Assist with packing, documentation, driving, warehousing, and other tasks from time to time.
  9. Handle and lift packages up to 30kg.
Requirements
  1. Knowledge of airfreight operations with a freight forwarder.
  2. DG accredited would be an advantage.
  3. Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, and Gmail.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Benefits
