Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will analyze existing processes, identify areas for enhancement, and implement improvements to boost operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze current processes and propose enhancements
  • Conduct time studies to optimize shop floor productivity
  • Develop routing plans for diverse product types or families
  • Support production planning and ensure accurate documentation in MRP/SharePoint
  • Collaborate with contract and engineering teams to maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Communicate changes and potential issues to contract and production teams
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and LEAN workshops
  • Attend meetings to optimize production flow and scheduling

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll require:

  • Over 2 years' experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting
  • LEAN methodology expertise
  • Desirable: experience working with transformers and ERP/MRP systems
  • Exceptional IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Adaptability to change
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Continuous improvement abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude

Compensation and Benefits

This is a highly competitive role with a salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Benefits include:
