Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Scheduler to join our team on a 12-month contract based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The ideal candidate will support the team with data collation and processing for schedule updates into and out of AIT. They will also assist with creating production schedules for every project undertaken in AIT facilities, illustrating the status and risks of those activities, as well as resource constraints.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and input production schedules with assistance from the project and production scheduling teams.
  • Ensure the live status of products in AIT production flows is up-to-date with assistance from area team leaders and managers.
  • Contribute to data collection and weekly capacity reviews.
  • Optimise factory resources.
  • Identify and address bottleneck resources and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor the planning database for reliable and realistic information used for developing schedules.
  • Analyse schedules to maximise future workload with external divisions and the AIT Business Manager.
  • Issue documentation according to the weekly reporting cycle.
  • Assist with monitoring drawing release activity and adherence to production schedules.
  • Develop the production scheduling tool and AIT processes by networking with personnel throughout the AIT and Stevenage organisations.

Requirements:

  • Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a proven track record of optimising resources and improving efficiency.
  • Be proficient in using relevant software and systems.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
