About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in EYFS and KS1. The successful candidate will work closely with a child who requires additional support to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to the child, adapting learning to meet their needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the child's needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the child, their family, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized learning plans.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEND needs, particularly in KS1 and EYFS.
  • Ability to build rapport and strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Training in speech and language intervention, speech and language therapy, or language interventions.
  • Experience working with children with physical needs.
  • Knowledge of the Year 4 national curriculum expectations.
