Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant, and we're looking for a talented Demi Chef to join our team.

Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and passionate Demi Chef to work alongside our Head Chef and team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. As a Demi Chef, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise and cooperate effectively with all team members to ensure seamless food production and service.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including dry stores and refrigeration.
  • Control wastage by managing stock levels and rotation, and avoid overproduction of food and mise en place.
  • Assist other sections of the kitchen as needed, and ensure all working areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Maintain constant quality control of all food prepared and cooked, ensuring it meets our high standards.
  • Provide a clear handover during shift changes, and report any issues or concerns to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Requirements
  • Current Right to Work in the UK.
  • Experience in a 4/5-star or high-profile events environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote a positive and productive work environment.
