Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician role at Nutreco External is a critical position that requires a high level of technical expertise and analytical skills. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical and analytical support to the laboratory team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of all samples, including raw materials, premixes, feeds, and forages, to ensure quality and consistency.
- Perform specific responsibilities for all aspects of sample preparation, including cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure that all samples are stored correctly and clearly, and that laboratory areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
- Work systematically with great attention to detail to ensure turnaround times for analysis are as quick as possible.
- Become familiar with and proficient in as many techniques as possible to provide cover when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory is required.
- Experience of databases, ideally using LIMS, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work systematically with great attention to detail and be happy to deal with agricultural samples.
