Relief Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Relief Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution Limited. As a Relief Driver, you will be responsible for driving a variety of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers, as well as performing shunting tasks and dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a range of vehicles, including tankers, non-ADR, reefers, chilled, and frozen trailers
- Perform shunting tasks as needed
- Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations
- Attend regular training sessions
- Work flexible hours, including night outs when required
- Hold a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence
- Hold a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card
- Experience of fridge trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be a confident, polite, and team player
- Have good geographical knowledge
- Competitive salary from £38,014.60pa to £43,557.80pa, depending on hours worked
