Job Overview

Zen Educate is seeking a qualified and experienced Education Assistant - Secondary to work on a part-time or full-time basis in secondary schools across Gloucester and the surrounding area. As an Education Assistant, you will provide cover for absent teachers, leading lessons and supporting students.

The ideal candidate will have excellent behaviour management skills, firm expectations around student engagement, and flexibility to meet the needs of the school. They will also have strong communication skills and be reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing cover for absent teachers in secondary schools.
  • Leading lessons and supporting students.
  • Maintaining order and discipline in classrooms.
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, students, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a teaching assistant or cover supervisor.
  • Good behaviour management skills and firm expectations around student engagement.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the school.
  • Reliability and strong communication skills.

Salary Range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
