About The Role

Machinery Maintenance Professional sought by SMT GB to carry out servicing and inspections of machinery to ensure a first-class service to both internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant, be able to drive and handle heavy construction machinery safely and efficiently, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Additional responsibilities include completing product updates/campaign work as instructed by the CSA Planners and accurately completing systems/paperwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance servicing and inspections on Volvo construction equipment and miscellaneous equipment, submitting detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work is checked and tested with a keen eye to detail and high quality standards.
  • Complete product updates/campaign work as instructed by the CSA Planners.
  • Accurately complete systems/paperwork, including oil sample reports, Matris readouts, component failure reports, and Service Inspection Reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant.
  • Ability to drive and handle heavy construction machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use email.
  • High standards and attention to detail.
  • Conscientiousness in all aspects of the job.
