Job Title: Senior Research Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Advisor to join our Innovation and Growth department in the City of London Corporation. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering a high-profile research programme, encompassing both policy and international promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and shape research projects and analysis focused on financial and professional services.
  • Play a key advisory role in multi-team projects looking at competitiveness challenges and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify key issues and carry out and commission analysis to inform policy recommendations and promotional messaging.
  • Develop and produce work to publication standard, tailored to a range of audiences.
  • Commission and manage external researchers across a portfolio of complex projects.

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical, writing and numeracy skills.
  • Strong experience of carrying out research and analysis using a range of approaches.
  • Significant knowledge, expertise and understanding of financial services and the complex policy, regulatory and market issues influencing London's and the UK's competitiveness in financial services.
  • Highly developed skills and experience in carrying out research and data analysis with a financial services industry and markets focus.
