We are seeking a skilled Games Programmer to join our team at Silent Games, a leading game development studio based in the UK. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing the core gameplay and feature set of our upcoming RPG game.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-quality, maintainable code and blueprints to support the game's core mechanics.
- Collaborate with other programmers to create modular and flexible frameworks and architecture.
- Work closely with designers to provide tools and mechanics that meet their requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance and stability issues, and implement suitable solutions.
- Perform code reviews with the team to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Proficiency in C++ programming language.
- Ability to work effectively with other disciplines, such as animation and game design.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5.
- Understanding of game development pipelines from early concept to launch.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience creating 3Cs (Character, Camera, and Controls) for 3rd Person Games.
- Experience creating dynamic action combat that provides a large toolset for the player.
- Experience with RPG Systems, such as generated loot and character stats.
- Familiarity with optimizing game code.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
