Academic SEN Specialist

">About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN teacher to join our specialist school community. As a SEN teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to children and young adults with complex and severe special educational needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and experience working with students with Autism diagnosis. You will lead a small class of 3-7 learners, designing, planning, and delivering teaching sessions to encourage pupils' learning and progression as well as improve their social and emotional development.
This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours a week) term-time only, offering career progression opportunities and fully funded training.
Responsibilities- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons
- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events
- Teaching Qualification (QTS or QTLS)
- Relevant SEN teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
- Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
- Eligibility to work in the UK
