At Transport for London, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic Asset Management Professional to provide crucial direction and clarity on our most pressing asset challenges.

We operate with a high degree of flexibility, leveraging a highly capable and supportive team that can proactively tackle complex challenges. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our assets, ensuring that the circa £1bn invested annually is utilized in a planned, informed, and conscious manner.

The successful candidate will lead the translation of cross-asset and network-level asset information into a balanced Pan-TfL investment portfolio that meets our organization's strategic needs. They will also assist in developing policies, strategies, plans, and prioritized programmes for one or more assets to deliver business outcomes.

This role requires strong analytical skills, as you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research and data collection to inform asset-specific strategies
  • Analyzing customer intelligence to develop suitable measures for inclusion in asset strategies
  • Carrying out data analysis to inform long-term capital and operational investment modeling
  • Synthesizing Borough Principal Roads and Bridges data to inform long-term capital investment plans and Local Implementation Plans (LIPs) investment
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to inform asset data requirements and support the development of asset strategies

You will possess a good understanding of asset management principles, including PAS 55 and ISO 55000. Familiarity with GIS for presenting and analyzing geographical data is also essential. Additionally, you should have experience working in physical asset management, applying asset management techniques within a transport/construction/operational environment, and preparing/presenting reports to influence business decisions.
