North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experience. As a Pediatric Registrar, you will play a crucial role in the Paediatric Service, working full-time at our Trust.
The post is fixed-term for 8 months, with a possible extension. You should be fully registered with the General Medical Council and have a strong grounding in neonatal care and general paediatrics.
You will work 40 hours per week, including out-of-hours duties for middle-grade on-call. This will involve managing acute emergencies in paediatrics and neonates, running outpatient clinics, and providing cover on weekends as on-call.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also attend General Paediatric Clinic/Neonatal High-Risk Clinic and participate in teaching and training sessions. We encourage the development of special interests within the team.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of postgraduate training experience, with at least six months of experience in tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care. They should also possess APLS/NLS Level 3 Child Protection qualifications, be able to teach junior doctors and medical students, and demonstrate good communication skills.
A salary of £60,000-80,000 per annum is offered, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality patient care.
