About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Rehabilitation Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care, promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve their goals. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, planning, and implementing care interventions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing high-quality nursing care and treatment to patients
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform care decisions
  • Provide education and support to service users and their families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current UK registration
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably in a rehabilitation unit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
