Job Title: Adult Psychiatry Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Psychiatry Consultant to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation. As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our prestigious NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and carers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring best practice in adult psychiatry services.
  • Participate in education and training programs, sharing expertise and knowledge with junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent qualification.
  • Hold CCT or CESR at the time of interview or in an established training programme and within six months of CCT.
  • Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR (CP) at interview.
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
