Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Development Specialist to join our team at ECM Selection. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering and be able to work on complex projects.

About the Role

This established consultancy is looking for an Electronics Development Specialist to work on a range of MedTech projects. The role involves working with mechanical engineers, software developers, applied scientists, and human factor engineers to deliver electro-mechanical products and technologies used within the healthcare sector.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience as a product development engineer, working on a range of electronics and be at a place where they can undertake reasonably complex projects on their own.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic systems for medical devices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement design improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for electronic systems.

Requirements:

  • 1st / 2.1 in Electronics or similar and demonstrable industry experience as an electronics engineer on a range of different projects/products.
  • Experience with PCB design, ideally using Altium Designer.
  • Experience with firmware, including writing embedded C/C++ for small product devices.
  • Understanding of low noise analogue circuit design and EMC for electrical safety.
  • Project experience working in a well-regulated industry sector (ideally MedTech, but also defence and aerospace sector experience would be considered).
  • Experience with FPGA development using Verilog would be highly desirable.
  • Prior engineering consultancy experience would be advantageous.
