Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fish Buyer to join our Sainsbury's Buying Teams, responsible for owning, delivering, and optimising the buying and selling strategy within the Food for Later category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute customer-focused category plans aligned with the company's strategy to sustainably grow market share and cash profit.
  • Analyse financial, market, and customer data to identify opportunities for product improvement, new product development, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to review product ranges, make key decisions in buying and selling strategies, and effectively manage supplier relationships to achieve performance objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to deliver successful outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in negotiating with suppliers and optimising product ranges to deliver quality and value to customers. You will have strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and effective communication skills to navigate complex information, influence stakeholders, and lead relevant projects to successful delivery.
