Job Title: IT Asset and Configuration Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Asset and Configuration Manager to join our IT Support team at Mountain Warehouse Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and controlling the asset lifecycle of our store, head office, and infrastructure hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and control asset lifecycle of store, head office, and infrastructure hardware
  2. Create and maintain product catalogue
  3. Establish and maintain hardware and software databases
  4. Interfacing with technology vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and purchase agreements
  5. Perform daily and long-term operational management of hardware and software
  6. Manage the asset inventory
  7. Plan, record, and track hardware assets and software licenses
  8. Ensure efficiency by introducing and reporting against key performance indicators
  9. Continual Service Improvement (CSI) of hardware and software management processes, including tracking assets within the configuration management database (CMDB)
  10. Effective management of CMDB ensuring its accuracy
  11. Supervise and support procurement procedures
  12. Supervise and support tracking of equipment
  13. Support projects, assisting PMs and engineers in the purchasing, lifecycle planning, and tracking of hardware and software associated with new projects
  14. Compile and share reports, including compliance reports, on current assets and their status
  15. Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset management

Requirements:

  1. Strong knowledge of IT hardware and software with more than 3 years working as an IT Asset analyst
  2. Strong knowledge of working with a CMDB and business services it supports
  3. At least 5 years ITSM experience
  4. Proven ability and experience in executing asset management processes
  5. Strong knowledge of licensing in software, including Microsoft
  6. Knowledge of IT service management processes from within an ITIL environment
  7. Strong ability to carry out tasks independently
  8. Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time
  9. Ideally have a process IAITAM cert such as CHAMP, CSAM, or CITAM
  10. Excellent organisational skills
