About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates Careers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including production, design, and modification of schematics, loop drawings, cable routing, panel layout drawings, block cable diagrams, motor starter panels, and electrical functional design of control systems.
  2. Support production and oversee the work of electrical installation engineers.
  3. Draft scope of works, bill of materials, termination schedules, equipment data sheets, cables schedules, labelling schedules, proof testing documents, and cable transfer documents.
  4. Ensure as-built electrical documents are complete for factory acceptance testing.
  5. Provide commissioning support.
Requirements
  1. Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics Engineer, or similar, ideally to Degree level or similar.
  2. Relevant experience (min 5 years) in Industrial Electrical Engineering.
  3. Possess knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards.
  4. Experience in designing electrical systems in accordance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
  5. Knowledge of Functional Safety Assessments and SIL verification.
